First Saturday of Build Season!!

January 13th, 2018

Today is the first official Saturday meeting of our of 2018 build season, FIRST Power Up! So far, it's been quite productive. The build team is busy sawing away and creating our prototypes to bring our entire team's ideas to life. The programming team is transferring our encoders code from LABView to Java. Float is constructing a mock field for us to test our concepts. Electrical is prepping all of their tools for when the robot is ready to be all wired up. Marketing's sub-teams are busy as well, whether writing letters to sponsors, recording interviews, working towards our goal to win Chairmen's award, or even writing blogs. We had a great lunch, and after lunch we all had a blast practicing our cheers for in the stands at competition. Even though our work day isn't done yet, we've already had some great progress for our first Saturday of our 2018 build season. Every Saturday of build season, we will post a blog of the day's events and a quick recap of how the week went. So stay tuned, and don't forget to Be Knightly!! Don't forget to check out our Facebook, Twitter and YouTube!

Bag and Tag tomorrow!?!?! Should we be happy or worried?

Today we want to get the robot done. In addition, people are working on the pit, doing some programming, and ironing our new bumper covers. We are looking for a drive team. Everyone in our drive team has to know the rules inside and out.  Drivers will be selected based on rules knowledge, how well they drive the robot and their attendance record. Programming is trying to fix the robot-cam so it displays on the screen. The build team is trying to get last year's robot and the second chassis running again to help with practice. Marketing is doing marketing, and CAD is making more button plugs. Imagine getting the robot done today!! It would be exciting. Everyone would be ecstatic and happy. You can help us get excited about building a real live robot by liking this Blog. See you next time, Devon.
